Backstage Better

The getting ready process is sometimes more exciting and thrilling than going out itself. The photography capturing the moments before showtime emphasises the effort put into fashion shows for Spring/Summer 13.

Finished Pieces!

Sorry I have not been posting, I have been busy being slaughtered by my deadlines. Here is a summary of semester one, inspiration, the finished pieces and process I went through.

Mrs Antcliff's homemade desert, inspired me to do to more home made craft within my sketchbook

I took this in Edinburgh across from Waverley Train Station, and I love how old architecture has quirky details.
The Nuno Exhibition at the Dovecot in Edinburgh inspired me thhnk that sometimes simplicity is sometimes better.

I took this at the Museum of Scotland on Chamber Street in Edinburgh and  it helped me re think some of my accessory designs.

This neck harness is one of my finished accessories. This piece is conceptional  and very fragile, as it is all hand stitched.

Inspiration during the night ""Patterns"by Drusilla Cole "Pattern Magic 2" and various editions of Elle UK

During a workshop, I created these individual units and realised they looked a little phallic! Whoops! So I arranged them into pieces and made them into two sets of lips (tilt head)

My Research board for a project that was based on  The 2012 Olympic Games

This was the starting point of my neck harness on the dummy

My lino print that I used for my final design for my recycled book bag

Me tired and very irritated in the last week before deadlines are due.

Taken from "Pattern Magic 2" the Vanishing Circle is the main detail in my garments that  I am designing

My Red Dress from semester one form HNC was in the college paper as well as the Dundee Courier

My staple diet through out semester one. Safe to say I do not want to look at another pizza again.
If I had to change anything that I did in semester one, I would change the way how disorganised I am and keep working with the time plan. I lost too many nights of sleep to ensure I handed my projects on time. Not recommended when on a diet of caffeine, tesco strawberry laces and pizza.
