Shoeniverse (revised)

One of Dundee's best hidden gems is so hidden it is not even in Dundee. It is above...in the sky. I do not know if anyone has been lucky enough to witness the Northern Lights in The Dundee/ Fife area but it is something that has been added onto my "must do before die" list (how cheery I am only 20 years old). The Space Technology Centre in Dundee collaborates with the School of Computing in Dundee University where "World leading research on spacecraft technology" has been going on for over a decade. If you are able to sign up to space alerts with the Space Technology Centre, you might be lucky enough to witness space activity if it is a clear night.

Watching BBC's Stargazing LIVE, I was infatuated not by the mind boggling information of various pieces rocks, orbits or what ever- but the astrophotgraphy.

So using all my love that I have for my new craze, I decided to reboot (literally) an old pair of shoe boots. And turn them into "Big Bang Boots".

HOLY CRAFT!HOW TO:
.Firstly, I started by using fabric paint. I used Pebeo Fabric paints in colours: Emerald Green, Shimmer Plum, Shimmer Gold and Silver Glitter Finish.
. Find a small but stocky and sturdy paintbrush that can take dabbing well.
. Starting with the Shimmer Gold, focus on a particular area of the shoe (I started with the heel) and lightly dab the paint on. It helps if you can visualise a square on the area you are working on, and be careful not to cover the whole patch with the one colour as there are another two colours to fill the spaces in.

. Once you have enough gold, you  can either use purple or green.
. After one patch, do the same technique and continue doing the rest of the shoe.
. Once you have finished, gloss the  whole shoe with the Silver Glitter Finish for added sparkle!

So the mircotrend Space has started its big bang haha. This is what I found trending in streetstlyle

 OUT OF THE BUBBLE:
So the Space trend has done its own big bang, but can the stars of the catwalk make this trend shine on or will it be the final frontier after a season?

So there you have it. If you are not a sci-fi geek or an astrophysicists you can surely still appreciate the beauty of our wonderful precious galaxy. Next time if you are looking for inspiration, remember the idea could be right in front of your face or in fact...above our head!
